He was particularly well-known for his memoir 'Darkness Visible', which chronicled his struggle with depression. James Carlos Blake is an American writer, sometimes referred to as one of the best writers on 'mythical American outlaw life&apos. He has written a range of short-stories, novellas, and novels, including 'Aliens in the Garden', 'The Outsider', 'The Pistoleer', and 'Under the Skin&apos. Collated, complete.  In the publisher's original cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with no noticeable faults other than a bit of fading to the top edge of boards. Dust wrapper is excellent, with minimal edge wear to the top edge of wraps and a mark to the rear wrap. Light age-toning to the top edge of the reverse of wraps. Internally, firmly bound.
