Collated, complete with seven plates of maps and plans, five of which folding.Neat ink gift inscription to recto blank introductory leaf, 'John Bourne with the best wishes of his friend and schoolfellow William Harrington Hay on his leaving Eaton, Election 1866.' In a full calf binding with five raised bands, intricate gilt tooling to spine and extremities, titles in gilt to morocco spine label, marbled edges and endpapers. Externally, lovely with minor shelf wear only, extremities of the spine and joints only lightly rubbed. Internally firmly bound. Faint minor spotting to first and last few leaves, only odd spot affecting the occasional leaf, otherwise pages are bright and clean. Marginal closed tear to p. 327.
