Haggard is known for his adventure romance fictions set in exotic locations, predominantly Africa, such as "King Solomon"s Mines" and "She". Both novels have been turned into films many times. This edition contains the first printing of Haggard"s new introduction of 72 pages dated 25th January 1888. Second edition. In publisher"s original blue cloth, with gilt title to front board and spine. Externally, smart, with some damp staining to the extremities, particularly on the front board. Some minor bumping to the extremities and small chip towards the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Some light age toning to the pages, otherwise pages are bright and clean.
