'My Friend Flora' (1962) and 'My Friend my Father' (1966) are the sixth and twelfth novels within the series, respectively. These novels both take place in the 'Reachfar' country and follow the narrator Janet Sandison, who is loosely based upon the author herself. 'My Friend Flora' tells the story of Flora 'Bedamned' and her family, while 'My Friend my Father' contains Sandisons' reflections growing up and sharing experiences with her father.Jane Duncan (1910-1976) was the pseudonym of Scottish author Elizabeth Jane Cameron. She is best known for her 'My Friends' series, as well as several novels that she wrote under the name of her female protagonist Janet Sandison.Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, excellent, with no noticeable faults other than a mark to the rear board of 'My Friend my Father&apos. Residue left from tape to paste downs of both novels, as well as a bit of age-toning to endpapers. Dust wrappers are very smart, with minimal edge wear to wraps and a bit of age-toning to the margins. Internally, firmly bound.
