This work was republished by Persephone Books in 2000, and achieved a considerable amount of popularity. Contents include 'Fox-Trot', 'Somewhere in England', 'To the Gentleman in Row E', and 'I Grieve for the Hawaiians&apos. Virginia Margaret Graham (1910-1993) was an English writer, critic, and poet, as well as a life-long correspondent to Joyce Grenfell. Collated, front endpaper has been neatly excised from binding. In the publisher's original cloth binding, in the original clipped dust-wrapper. Externally, very smart. Minimal edge wear to the extremities with a bit of bumping to the spin. Discolouration and fading to the head and tail of spine, with a few marks to rear board. Dust wrapper is generally smart, with some age-toning to wraps, particularly to the margins. A bit of edge wear to edges as well as spine region. Edge wear has resulted in a bit of chipping and loss to the spine. A few closed tears between front wraps and fly leaves.Front endpaper has been neatly excised from binding. Paste downs and endpapers are lightly age-toned. Internally, firmly bound.
