A charming children's work. The present copy contains also a special story of children with moving pictures, to be red with the red and green spectacles inserted to the verso front cover. In the original publisher's binding over illustrated boards, the cat's eyes are left hollow and coloured by the inserting of the red and green spectacles internally to the front board.  A charming volume. In the original publisher's binding over illustrated paper covered boards. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, light rubbing to the spine and boards, the spine slightly bumped. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are generally very clean and bright throughout. Illustrated richly in text throughout as well as with colour plates.
