Jensen gives a history of the Scottish archipelago, including some of the ancient Viking figures that resided there, with odes on the natural scenery. Wilhelm Jensen (1837-1911) was a German writer and poet who published over one-hundred and fifty works. He was the illegitimate son of a prominent German mayor and the son-in-law of a notable journalist. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Some marks to boards, with discolouration to boards. Edge wear to head and tail of spine has resulted in the beginning of loss to the tail. Light rubbing to extremities. Front hinge is starting.
