Detailing the life of Bonaparte, from his birth through the conception of the revolution, his successes and defeats until his death.In three volumes.  Volume I is lacking a title page, but illustrated with a frontispiece and six plates besides. Volume II is illustrated with a frontispiece and an engraved title page, as well as five plates. Volume III is illustrated with an engraved title page and seven plates, including four in colour; however, it is lacking the frontispiece. Otherwise complete.Written by W. B. Heweston.With the ownership bookplate of Michael Ashford, dated November 1975 to the front pastedown of each volume. In a contemporary full calf binding; rebacked with the original boards and spine laid down. Externally generally smart; loss to the heads of the spine, with some discolouration to the third volume. Boards are a little worn and extremities are bumped. Ownership bookplates to the front pastedown of each volume. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little spotted, particularly opposing plates, and age-toned to the edges. Very Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Very Good .
