Volume I is also illustrated with twenty-nine plates. Volume II is illustrated with twenty-five plates, as well as an extra watercolour painting opposing page 209; this was painted by T. C. V. Collated, complete.An excellent first edition of this delightful illustrated history of Sussex. In a quarter crushed morocco binding. Externally generally smart; a little rubbed to the head of the spines and to the tail of volume I, otherwise slight occasional rubbing. Internally generally firmly bound; front hinge is strained at the title page to the first volume. Pages are a touch spotted. Very Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Very Good .
