In two volumes, each volume containing six continuous issues. Originally known as 'Lucifer', the Theosophical Review was founded by Helena Blavatsky in 1887. Its editors were Annie Besant and George Robert Stowe Mead. With the writings of J. G. O. Tepper, Annie Besant, W. Kingsland, H. Ernest Hichol. G. R. S. Mead, Miss A. L. B. Hardcastle, Sir Richard Burton, Miss Mina Sandeman, Alfred William Benn, Dr. Alexander Haig, Decio Calvari and countless others. Comprising volumes XXI and XXIII, covering September 1897 until February 1898 and September 1898 until February 1899. From the library of the Society of Divine Knowledge; with their bookplate to the verso of the front endpaper. In a half calf binding. Externally generally smart; volume XXI is more worn than the other volume, with rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and the raised bands. Backstrip is lifting at the head. Rubbed to the extremities. Volume XXIII has some wear to the head and occasional rubbing to the spine and extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound; slight straining to the hinges. Pages are bright and clean. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
