Black edition of this collection of tales of fairies by Alfred Perceval Graves, Anglo-Irish poet known for his tales of Irish folklore, such as the present volume. He was the father of popular British poet and critic Robert Graves. Featuring contributions by Patrick Kennedy, Alfred Tennyson, and W. B. Yeats among others. Illustrated with black and white plates and other illustrations in text by George Denham, featuring a colour frontispiece. Complete with the scarce dust wrapper, unclipped. An excellent example of this uncommon work.  In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only, minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The dust wrapper is sound and unclipped, fairly chipping to the spine and extremities, light soiling to the wraps, a minor closed tear to the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with black and white plates and other illustrations in text, featuring a colour frontispiece. Near Fine . Ill.: George Denham. Near Fine/Good.
