Asquith accepting his first Cabinet post as President of the Board of Trade in 1908, pages from the 1926 British Gazette, a poster issued during the Second World War, and more exciting content providing a visual historical insight. Collated, complete. Inserted are also a letter signed by Martin Gilbert to Miss Hamblin describing the nature of this 'Jackdaw' publication, dated 1969, and a typed letter from English author the Lady Soames, the youngest of the five children of Winston Churchill and Clementine, dated 1994, addressed to John Foster, thanking him for his letter and the most interesting photograph of Lady Randolph Churchill. Unbound as issued, each document housed in its stiff paper case, cloth reinforced. Externally attractive with minor shelf wear, only a touch of age toning, as usual. Signed by Martin Gilbert to the front of the casing. Each document is clean with minor age toning to the occasional, as usual. No marks or closed tears. Inserted are also a letter signed by Martin Gilbert to Miss Hamblin dated 1969, and a typed letter from the Lady Soames, the youngest of the five children of Winston Churchill and Clementine, dated 1994, addressed to John Foster.
