Turner, Thomas Gainsborough, George Romney, Joshua Reynolds, David Wilkie and William Etty, amongst numerous others.One of the most important sales from the auction was Thomas Gainsborough's miniature portrait of Lady Mulgrave, which reached 10,000 guineas, the second highest price ever paid for a Gainsborough. It is now in the Royal Collection.James Price, Esq. was an artist himself, hailing from South Devon. In a half calf binding. Externally generally smart, with occasional slight rubbing to the joints and the extremities; head and tail of the spine are also slightly rubbed. Internally, generally firmly bound with a slight strain to the front hinge, which remains firm. Pages are a little age-toned. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
