An eighteenth-century periodical edited by Andrew Reid. A very scarce collection of fourteen volumes. Reid was a Scottish author; he launched the present periodical in 1728 until his death in 1736. It was published monthly and reflects the editor's interest in literature, history, and science. With articles mainly concerning history and science, literary criticism, travel, poem, contemporary affairs such as a discussion on small-pox, and more. An abstract of The Chronology of Ancient Kingdoms Amended by Sir Isaac Newton, first published posthumously in the same year in 1928, makes up the whole of vol.
