Illustrated with black and white photographic plates and other figures.  In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear and minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. The dust wrapper is unclipped and smart with only minor shelf wear and a minor chipping, minor sunning to the spine. With R S Boumphrey's bookplate to the front pastedown. Loosely inserted, two newspaper cuttings concerning Antarctica and HIllary. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean, only minor offsetting to p. 155 due to newspaper cuttings loosely inserted. Illustrated with black and white photographic plates and other figures.  Very Good Indeed .
