The majority of the work was carried out by Arthur Bulleid and Harold Gray, the authors of this work (in addition to Mrs M. Aylwin Cotton). Volume I contains twenty-three plates, collated and complete. Volume II contains thirty plates, collated and complete. Volume III contains twelve plates, collated and complete. All volumes also contain numerous in-text illustrations and figures. In the original quarter cloth binding with paper boards. Externally, very smart, with some light bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the paper to the top left corner of Volume III. Some offsetting to the paper to the head of the front board on Volume III. Some spots to the rear board of Volume II.
