She was an English socialite and through her mother was the illegitimate granddaughter of King Edward VII. Uniformly bound in half calf binding with paper covered boards. Externally, smart, with some rubbing to the spines and extremities. Some minor shelf wear. Bookplate of previous owner to the front pastedowns of each volume. Advert for the work to the pastedown of Volume I. Internally, front hinges strained but firm. Volumes are firmly bound. Pages are slightly age-toned in places but are generally clean. Very Good .
