Three supplementary volumes were released later.An excellent collection of the seventh edition of this important German encyclopaedia, the final edition completed before the Second World War and Nazification. In a half calf binding. Externally generally smart, with just slight wear to the leather spines of most volumes and some bumping to the extremities. Volumes 3 and 4 have more rubbing to the head of the spine, with volume 4 having some slight rubbing to the tail as well. Volumes 7,8, and 9 are a little more faded than the other volumes.
