In the original publisher's full cloth binding, with gilt tooling to the spine and front board. Externally lovely with only minor shelf wear and a minor fading to the spine, the head and tail of the spine slightly bumped. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent, with minor shelf wear only; professionally reinforced internally. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are generally clean throughout with a light foxing to the occasional leaf only. Most leaves are unopened. Illustrated with a frontispiece and seven full page plates to each volume.
