The plates depict a variety of fruits and blossoms.Collated, complete.Written by Charles McIntosh or M'Intosh who is known for writing one of the most representative High Victorian gardening books 'The Book of the Garden&apos. Another work by him is 'The New and Improved Practical Gardener&apos. At the time of writing this work M'Intosh was the head gardener to the Duke of Buccleuch at Dalkeith. In a half calf binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart. Light rubbing to the joints and extremities. A few small marks to the spine. Evidence of bookplate removal to the front pastedown. Hinges are strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots to pages. Very Good . Ill.: Anon. Very Good .
