Gibson shares some reminiscences regarding his friendship with Scott, sharing details of some of previously unpublished, personal letters in occasion of the late author's centenary. The first edition of 1871. A very scarce volume. In the original publisher's binding over paper covered boards with the titles to a spine laid on to the front board. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear and a touch of edge wear. Inscribed in pencil to the front free endpaper, undated. Internally, firmly bound. With a minor spotting to the first and last few leaves and the fore edge, otherwise the pages are generally bright and clean. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
