In the original publishers cloth binding. Externally smart with some shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. With some minor marks and rubbings to the boards, as well as a minor damp marking to to both boards. The cloth to the spine has slightly darkened, obscuring the titles. From the library of C. G. Nelson, with his stamp to the front pastedown and title page. Internally, firmly bound, with tender hinges to the rear board, the rear free endpaper is slightly loose and may detach with further handling. The pages are clean with only some faint age toning to the leaves of text. Illustrated with numerous illustrations in text and one hundred-and-twenty-nine full page plates to the rear.
