Shaw Sparrow and including a critical essay by Léonce Bénédite. A large volume dedicated to the work of Frank William Brangwyn, a Welsh painter, water-colourist, illustrator, engraver, lithographer, and also decorator of glass, furniture, ceramics, and more. He was one of the most innovative artists of his time. A very attractive collection of his work, complete with four lithographs, four plates in colour, twelve Rembrandt photogravures, and five woodcuts by the author, each accompanied by its title and a brief description. In the original publisher's cloth binding, Externally sound with some shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, as well as a damp mark to the right margin of the front board and the left of the rear board. Internally, the title page is loose but present, otherwise firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with only some minor offsetting and a touch of soiling to the endpapers. Illustrated with four lithographs, four plates in colour, twelve Rembrandt photogravures, and five woodcuts by the author, each accompanied by its title and a brief description. Collated, complete.
