In the original publisher's gilt tooled cloth binding. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The cloth to the spine has slightly darkened. Internally, the hinges are slightly loose but firm to the half title, otherwise firmly bound. The pages are clean with only a touch of age toning, as usual. Profusely illustrated in text in full colour, with pictures by Birket Foster and ornamental designs by John Sliegh. Very Good Indeed .
