Hamilton was a Scottish artist, known for his military and historical works. In a quarter cloth binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Bumping to the spine and extremities, resulting in some loss of paper to the extremities. Light rubbing to the boards and spine. Bookplate to the front paste down. Ink initials to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spotting. Some pages reinforced to the gutter. A few pencil scribbled to the reverse of plates. Tidemark and edgewear to the front wrap of 'Madame est Servie&apos. A little wear and spots to the front wrap of 'Madame est Servie&apos.
