An early edition of this volume originally published in c1894. Dated from a copy on Jisc 1904. Mary Le Feuvre explores Christianity and family relationships in this novel, dealing with Sir Edward Wentworth as he bonds with his orphaned niece, Millie; thanks to her, Edward acknowledges he has strained from Christianity and tried to find his way back. Illustrated throughout with plates from photographs in black and white throughout. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally very smart with only a minor shelf wear and a slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, as well as a minor faint mark to the front board. The cloth to the spine has slightly faded. With a Sunday School Prize bookplate to the front free endpaper, undated. Internally, firmly bund. With a faint minor spotting to the occasional gutter, and the odd minor handling mark, otherwise the pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Very Good . Ill.: Unnamed. Very Good .
