His magnum opus is his fifteen-novel sequence 'A Chronicle of Ancient Sunlight&apos.This bibliography and study was published in the midst of his burgeoning career, only a few years after his Hawthornden winning novel 'Tarka the Otter&apos.Compiled by I. Waveney Girvan, with assistance of 'Another Hand&apos. It is a clear open secret that this 'Another Hand' is Williamson himself.Pencil note to the half-title claims 'Annotations by H. W. in pencil', the annotations being pencil lines to the margins. Rebound in a half morocco binding with patterned paper to the boards. Externally, smart, with some light marks and discolouration to the boards. A little rubbing to the extremities. Small closed tear to the front endpaper. Rubbed out ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper, and a library label tipped in. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few odd handling marks.
