Known for his somewhat inaccurate translation of 'Don Quixote', one of Florian's major successes was being credited as instrumental in promoting Cervantes to French audiences.Accused of writing verse in honour of the queen, Florian died aged only 39 of tuberculosis while imprisoned during the French Revolution. Offsetting to the rear pastedown, and a small hole in the rear free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned due to paper type, with some spotting.
