Similarly, a blue ink stamp stating 'Royal Society of Arts' appears at the head of the title page.This is an English language translation of French art critic Charles Blanc's 1875 work. Focussing on personal adornment, chapters include 'hair-dressing as a mark of character in men', use of enamel in jewellery, and the use of colour in clothing. In a full cloth binding. Imperceptibly rebound, with panels of cloth from the original spine and boards laid down. Externally very smart with light rubbing, but still bright overall.
