Crosby Hall, originally Crosby Place is located in Bishopsgate, London, with the Great Hall built in 1466. Although only surviving fragmentarily and not situated where it was built, it is the only example of a medieval City merchant house in London. Its prior residents include Catherine of Aragon, Sir Thomas More and Sir Walter Raleigh.Written by Edward L. Blackburn.Illustrated with facsimile autographs, plans and a full plate frontispiece.A particularly scarce work. In a half crushed morocco binding. Externally a trifle worn, with some rubbing to the spine resulting in loss to the leather. Ownership inscriptions to the head of the title page and the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound.
