He also penned histories on Liverpool, Bristol, Macclesfield and Lancashire.'A Satirical View of London' ran many successive editions, with this being the sixth edition of 1815; it had first been published in 1801. It comprises sketches of the characters frequenting the city.'Edwy and Bertha' was first published in 1802; this is a third edition of 1815, with the first having been published in 1802.Two volumes bound as one in its contemporary binding. In a half straight grain morocco binding. Externally generally smart, with a smart mark to the tail of the spine; the boards are slightly rubbed. Ownership inscription to the front pastedown.
