It tells of his fifteen day stay in London and received many favourable contemporary reviews. There are accounts on the social life and customs of Londoners in the nineteenth century.  In a half morocco binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart. Light rubbing to the joints. Former ownership stamps to the front pastedown and to the half-title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Otherwise, just the odd spots.
