A very scarce volume detailing the exciting history of the Battle of Floddon Field. A reprint of the edition published in c1513, as noted on Jisc.The Battle of Floddon Field was fought in 1513 between Thomas Howard, Earl of Surrey, commander in chief of the English forces, and James 4th, King of Scots, with an inferior army of fifteen thousand men. Illustrated to the title page with an engraving attributed to Thomas Bewick, noted wood engraver.  In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, rubbed with edge wear and shelfwear and well as rubbing to the extremities. Severe loss of spine. J. W. Mackie to the front pastedown. Internally, binding is loose but firm throughout, with only the front blank pages are almost disbound. Pages are generally bright and clean.
