A lovely copy of this very scarce poem by James Hurdis, rebound in marbled boards. A scarce work, dated from the copy on Jisc c 1812, based on when Whittingham and Rowland printers were active and Darton and Harvey were trading under that name. With a preface to the fourth edition and notes to the rear.A poem by James Hurdis, who was inspired to write this poem by his experience as a curate at Burwash. He was later also vicar of Bishopstone, and possessed a printing press and a chamber organ. Jisc notes this edition to have 156 pages, this copy stops at 104 pages with notes to the rear.  Rebound in marbled boards with titles to spine and new endpapers. Externally excellent with only minor shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. The odd spot to the occasional leaf, otherwise pages are generally bright and clean. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: None.
