She penned three novels: 'Marriage', 'The Inheritance' and 'Destiny&apos. She is often compared to Jane Austen, and described as Scotland's equivalent female author.Each novel is complete with an introduction by Lady Margaret Sackville.A limited edition, with only three hundred and twenty-five of three hundred and fifty copies released for sale.Volume IV is illustrated with a full plate frontispiece of Susan Ferrier.Extremely scarce as a set, with the dust wrappers being of equal scarcity. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, generally smart, with a touch of bumping to the tails of the spines of each volume. Dust wrappers are a little sunned to the spine, with a stain to the tail of volume I and II and a chip to volume III. Otherwise, dust wrappers have some generally chipping to the head and tail of the spine of each volume and wear to extremities. Internally, volumes are firmly bound, with bright and clean pages.
