He also penned a number of Japanese-inspired novels to better financially support his family; other works include 'Blue Jackets', 'The Wonderful City of Tokio', 'The Golden Lotus and Other Legends of Japan&apos. He is credited with widening the Western audience to Japonica fiction.This work is illustrated throughout with full plates and vignette illustrations. With a charming pictorial cover.
