His works have been adapted for screen many times, with this work made into a 1922 South African film.This is a first edition, first impression.With thirty-two pages of publisher's advertisements bound to the rear.This is a scarce work, with only 2500 copies produced. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart, slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and otherwise minor wear.
