First edition thus. Comprising Nimphidia by Michael Drayton (1924) and The Nutbrown Maid (1925). 'Nimphidia' had the type set by W.W Dyer and John Williams with the presswork by H A Holliday and Leslie Lee. It is a poem by Michael Drayton referring to an attendant of Queen Mab. Told from the perspective of Nimphidia, reports are given regarding the affairs of Mab, Oberon, Puck and Pigwiggin. 'The Nut-Brown Maid'ha had the type set by John Williams with the presswork by H A Holliday and Leslie Lee. The ballad was first printed by the chronicler Richard Arnold in 1502 and gained attention from its inclusion by Thomas Percy in his 'Reliques of Ancient English Poetry&apos. In this poem a man and woman talk of women's fidelity. The title page to both volumes is unopened to the top edge. Both volumes were printed as a part of the Shakespeare head 'Quarto Series&apos. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, generally smart. A small amount of loss to the head and tail of spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed .
