Complete sets of the post-war speeches are a lot more uncommon compared to his earlier war speeches as they were only printed in a single impression. The dustwrapper to 'Stemming the Tide' is a later impression, with the price of 36/- Net, and no colour band, but is uncommon all the same. Subject matter of these speeches include the undoing of the British Empire, post-war recovery and his calls to unite Europe. In addition we see the start of the Cold War, and Churchill's return to Downing Street in the early 1950's. The final volume sees his resignation and subsequent global speeches. Comprising over 250 speeches made by Churchill including his noted address 'The Iron Curtain&apos. Dustwrapper to 'Europe Unite' is price-clipped. All other dustwrappers remain unclipped. A smart set of this important speech collection. In uniform cloth bindings with dustwrappers. Dustwrapper to 'Europe Unite' is price-clipped. Externally, very smart with just some minor bumping to the head and tail of spines. Gilt has faded slightly. Damp staining patch to the front board of 'Europe Unite&apos. Dustwrappers are sound, with some minor chips and rubbing to the head and tail of spines. Small tear to the spine of 'Stemming the Tide&apos. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound.
