He regularly contributed to the 'Journal des Debats&apos.This work looks at the Canut Revolts of Lyon which were the major revolts by the Lyonnais silk workers which occurred in 1831, 1834 and 1848. This pamphlet discusses the revolts of 1831. They were the first worker uprisings of the Industrial Revolution. This particular revolt was provoked by a terrible economy and a drop in silk prices, leading to a drop in workers' wages. Theodore Benazet looks at the budget and talks about the revolts from a politician's perspective.  Disbound. Externally, generally smart with a few light marks to the wraps. Small hole to the bottom third, which permeates through the entire work. Only affects the occasional letter.
