This work gives instructions on fish stock, gravy, Spanish Olio, Sorrel Soup, Veal Soup, Mutton, Beef, pickling, and several other key dishes from the start of the eighteenth century. A beautifully rebound copy of this fascinating work, which gives insight into cookery at the start of the eighteenth century. In a half calf binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally, in an excellent condition with minor shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Professional repairs to the title page, A2, A3, and plates 38-43 at the edges.
