In pristine condition. The first and only edition of this print collection, loosely inserted in the original paper portfolio. The plates remain in a bright, unblemished condition. Collated, complete. Geoffrey Fletcher is best known for his 1962 book 'The London that Nobody Knows&apos. This book was then made into a documentary film. He worked as an illustrator for many of the major British newspapers and found delight in the many previously considered mundane aspects of forgotten London such as gas lamps, iron lavatories and terraces. The plates are of Brushfield Street, looking towards Christ Church Spitalfields, Lamb Street, looking west with the Main market hall on the left, and Lamb Street looking East, the flower market on the left and main market hall on the right. The second plate shows Broadgate under construction. In the original portfolio binding. Externally, very smart with some minor creasing to the extremities. Internally, leaves are loose as issued. Pages are very bright. The title page and first plate have evidence of a very small fold to the bottom corner. Otherwise, pages are clean. Near Fine . Ill.: Geoffrey Fletcher. Near Fine .
