Uncommon in such a bright condition. In the publisher's original wraps. Gerard's lithographs were issued in a number of formats and combinations over many years. These copies have a different address for Gerard to the front wrap, which implies they were published at different times. The front wrap to the grey volume has the address as 'Rue d'Accolay No 29' and the blue volume has 'Rue de la Beigeie No 6, pies du Maiche aux Bois. Published in Brussels. With captions in both English and in French. Both volumes have twelve plates each. Some are repeated, although there are several lithographs that are only present to one volume. The paper to the blue, later volume is of better quality compared to that of the grey volume. No date to either volume. The Grey copy is c1835 with the blue copy more c1840. Lithographs to these volumes include 'Church of Waterloo', 'The Tomb of Major Ed Stables at Waterloo', 'Lion de Waterloo', 'La Montagne du Lion', 'Feme de la Belle Alliance&apos. In the publisher's original wraps. Externally, generalyl smart with several light spots and evidence of handling to wraps. Inscription to the front wrap of the grey volume dated August 31st 1836. Gift inscription to the verso of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Minor crease to the centre of the blue volume, affecting the title page most. Minor creasing to the corners of pages, as is common with paper-backs. Just the odd light spots to pages. Very Good . Ill.: Gerard. Very Good .
