'The Rout' is a satirical poem about contemporary society life in England in the late eighteenth century, written here in the guise of a letter to a friend who lives in the country. Written in three cantos, with a postscript Written by Richard Graves, an English cleric and poet. He is now best known for his picaresque novel 'The Spiritual Quixote&apos. He started writing poetry early in his life, and many of his poems appeared in the collections of Robert Dodsley and George Pearch. Disbound. Externally, the outer leaves are a little age-toned, with the odd light mark and spot. Small amount of leather backstrip remains. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with the odd spot and mark. Small ink spots to leaf C1 and C2. Last two leaves are detaching for the head. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
