To the rear of the second volume there is a chronological list of Robert Browning's poems. Collated, complete. Robert Browning was an English poet and playwright. He mastered the dramatic monologue and is known as one of the foremost Victorian poets. His works are regarded as containing complex syntax, irony and a broad vocabulary. In half calf bindings with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart with rubbing to the joints and to the head and tail of spine. A little loss to the leather at the head of spines, particularly to volume II. A few marks to spine. Binder's stamp to the verso of front endpaper, Bickers and Son. Front hinge to volume II is slightly strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Scattered spotting, heaviest to the first and last few pages. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
