The observations Chapman discusses have been collected during his numerous field trips. To the preface Chapman notes that through this book he wishes to tell the story of various expeditions he has taken. Several of the chapters to this work were previously featured in 'The Century', 'Scribner's', 'Country Life in America', 'Outing' and 'Bird Lore&apos. An unusually bright copy of this work, which is hard to come by in such a smart condition. In the publisher's original binding. Externally, in a very smart condition with just some minor shelfwear to the head and tail of the spine. The cloth remains bright with the flamingo to the front board in pristine condition.
