Written by Louise Fargo Brown. Brown was an American historian who focussed on the history of Britain. She also served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps in World War One, afterwards becoming a professor at Vassar College. Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'Roy & Nina Merley&apos. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, though with a couple of marks to the boards and spine.
