Written by Louise Fargo Brown. Brown was an American historian who focussed on the history of Britain. She also served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps in World War One, afterwards becoming a professor at Vassar College. Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'Roy & Nina Merley&apos. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, though with a couple of marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot. Good .
