This work was originally published as a series of articles in the 'The Saturday Evening Post' in 1903, published by the Curtis Publishing Company. This 1908 copy is the first book edition of the work, in the original charming pictorial cloth binding with gilt titles to the front board and spine. A very scarce work with only one copy held only at the British Library in the form of a microfilm reel- Copac. With author's advertisements to the rear of the work, for Beveridge's other notable works: 'The Bible as Good Reading' and 'Work and Habits&apos. In a pictorial cloth binding. Externally lovely, with only slight bumping to extremities and head and tail of spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned but very bright and clean, with only the odd light spot to the occasional page. Slight offsetting to endpapers, with ink inscription dated 1908. Near Fine . Ill.: None.
