Written by Lilian Gask a important and proflic children's author of the late 19th and early 20th century, with this particular work being a lovely example of her literary talents. Rebound in a full calf binding, charming gilt detailing to the spine, and school name to the front board. Externally smart with minor shelfwear. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown, which has several spots, and additional light spotting to the reverse of the front and rear endpapers. Internally firmly bound.
