He is well known for his practical jokes, especially for the Berners Street hoax of 1810. Hook was also the recipient of the first ever postcard, which he probably sent to himself. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Some fading to the spines. A little rubbing the spines, boards, and extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
